Our Practice in Celebration

Dr. Margaret Grand is a graduate of the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts. She is in partnership with her husband, Dr. Ronald Grand. Both are board-certified optometric physicians. Dr. Margaret Grand did two internships at Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, Israel. One in ocular pathology and one in pediatric low vision. Before moving to Florida, she had a private practice in Newport, RI, and was on the staff at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, Massachusetts.

After moving to Florida, she was asked by the developers of the Town of Celebration if she and her husband would open a practice in Celebration and be the family eye doctors for the town. They opened the practice now known as Celebration Eye Care in 1996.

While in Celebration they collaborated with Florida Hospital at Celebration Health participating in their Health Fairs. They have also worked with Disney in fitting many of their characters with cosmetic contact lenses and have done one film and supplied eyewear for several commercials. They have worked with the Atlanta Braves during their Spring Training.

Dr. Margaret Grand is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. She has served as an examiner for the Florida Board of Optometry. She is an active member of Vision Source.

Dr. Margaret Grand is a past president of the Rotary Club of Celebration and a past president of the Celebration Area Council for the Osceola Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Ronald Grand is a graduate of the University of California Berkeley, School of Optometry, as well as Harvard University, School of Public Health, in Boston, Massachusetts. He is in partnership with his wife Dr. Margaret Grand. Both are board-certified optometric physicians.

After a career as a Navy optometrist, he served on the staff in the Cornea Service at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary in Boston, Massachusetts before returning to Florida. Active-duty assignments included tours of duty in Asia as well as conducting Aerospace Medical Research. 

After being invited by the developers of the Town of Celebration to establish an optometric practice town Celebration Eye Care was established in 1996. Dr. Ronald Grand specializes in managing corneal refractive surgery and ocular surface disease.

Dr. Ronald Grand is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Florida Optometric Association. He has served as an examiner for the Florida Board of Optometry. He is an active member of Vision Source.

Dr. Carina Grand is a graduate of Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in South Florida. She has followed the footsteps of her grandparents and has joined the family practice. During her time at Nova Southeastern University she obtained a Bachelors of Science in Biology and Masters of Science in Biological Science with a concentration in Health Science before beginning optometry school. While in optometry school, she did internships with pediatrics, specialty contact lenses, sports vision, and completed her education with Filutowski Eye Institute. There, she co-managed various cases that included PRK and cataract surgery. After graduating, she moved back to Central Florida and began working at Celebration Eye Care.
